Initially, the Head of Cultural Affairs of Kabul Municipality, Qari Wali Gul Jawad, discussed the commission’s activities and urged shopkeepers and business owners to arrange and organize the content on their signs carefully. Mr. Jawad emphasized that all signage and advertising boards must be in accordance with Islamic Sharia and the principles of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He also highlighted the importance of avoiding inappropriate images and non-compliant content that could mislead the public, while giving careful attention to national languages, cultural values, and overall signage organization. He described public cooperation as vital in this key area and added that, through collective effort, it is possible to create well-organized and visually appealing urban signage.
