A Seven-Day Book Exhibition was opened by the Beyhaqi Book Publishing Department on the Occasion of Book and Reading Week

Today, Saturday (10/6/2023), the Beyhaqi Book Publishing Department of the Ministry of Information and Culture opened a seven-day exhibition on the occasion of Book and Book Reading Week in Zarnagar Park, Kabul, during which 200 Private Book Publishers exhibited thousands of books.
During the opening of the exhibition, the officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture, the Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs of Kabul Municipality, the representative of the General Directorate of Affairs, the representative of the Ministry of Public Health, the President of the Association of Private Broadcasters of Afghanistan and a number of other officials and youths were present. 
The exhibition was opened with the recitation of some blessed verses of the Holy Quran.
Afterwards, Deputy Director of “Dawat and Irshad” Department of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Maulvi Syed Najibullah Hashemi spoke about the value of the Holy Quran and the book and said that through the initiative of the Bayhaqi Department for the first time in the country, a Tajweed Quran was written by Afghan calligraphers and printed in colour and put forward to the market.
Then the Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs of Kabul Municipality, Maulvi Sahib Habibulrahman Mansour, spoke and said that only books provide people with the path to success and protect them from going astray, that books are a guide for life, while asking the youth to promote the culture and tradition of reading.
Also, Qazi Pamir, the representative of the Ministry of Public Health, said that such exhibitions show to the whole world that there is still a need for education and that even after the 40-year war, we are still interested in education.
Later, the Representative of Administrative Affairs praised such initiatives of Beyhaqi Book Publishing Department and called the exhibition necessary to promote the tradition of reading. 
The participants, on the other hand, expressed their satisfaction for the initiative and organising of such exhibitions by the Beyhaqi Book Publishing department, while requesting holding more of similar exhibitions.
