Restoration of the Artifacts of Regional Museum of Logar Province has been Started by Professional Members

The renovation of the historical artifacts of the Regional Museum related to the Department of Information and Culture of Logar Province has been started by the professional members of the National Museum, who have repaired about 20 different artifacts so far.
Mohammad Salem Rahmani, Manager of the Kushan period of the National Museum of the Ministry of Information and Culture, says: “In the past few days, with the help of my professional colleagues, 20 pieces of historical artifacts related to the Regional Museum of Logar province have been repaired, preserved and cleaned. Other than this the artifacts have been accounted for and recorded in the Artifacts list of the National Museum of Afghanistan.”
Rahmani added, there are historical artifacts of different eras (Kushani, 2nd century AD, Islamic, Ethnography and contemporary era) in the Regional Museum of Logar Province, in which there are terracotta (tile), stone and metal artifacts. Most of them are under cleaning, repair and maintenance.
The Director of Information and Culture, Rafiullah Samim, said that the purpose of repairing these artifacts is to preserve, record and determine the historical background of the monuments. According to him; Efforts have been made to register and restore historical monuments and ancient areas.
The Manager of the Museum of the Department of Information and Culture, Mohammad Amin Nasiri, said: “Currently, there are 50 pieces of artifacts and 80 pieces of handicrafts and items in the museum, which were donated, as a result of the their efforts, free of charge by the culture-friendly people of this province and every day 15 to 20 fans come to see it.”
The Manager the Museum wants the people of Logar to cooperate with them in the protection of historical relics and the enrichment of the museum.
