Public Libraries Launch Librarianship Training Seminar

The Directorate of Public Libraries, under the Deputy Ministry of Arts and Culture within the Ministry of Information and Culture, has launched a week-long training seminar on librarianship. This seminar is designed for staff from the directorate, district libraries, the Central Library of Kabul University, and the Afghanistan Centre at Kabul University (ACKU).

Dr. Rafiullah Samim, the Director of Public Libraries, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of professional training, highlighting that skilled and knowledgeable staff are essential for delivering high-quality library services. The seminar aims to equip library personnel with practical expertise relevant to their profession.

The topics covered in the seminar include basic library concepts, common terminology, various types of libraries, digital libraries, library management, and other key subjects.
