The Number of Tourists Have Increased in Samangan province

 

The Director of Information and Culture of Samangan province says that in the first four months of this year, 160 foreign tourists have visited the ancient sites of this province (Takht Rustam).
Mohammad Amin Azizi, General Manager of Cultural Heritage Protection of the Information and Culture Department of the said province, said that there are 114 shrines and ancient sites in Samangan Province, 106 of which are historical sites registered by the Heritage Protection Office, while the registration of the rest is going on.
One of this group is Takht Rustam Stone Stupa, which is located in the center of Samangan Province (Aibak), and has a history of about 2,500 years.
  Mr. Azizi added that there are other historical areas in Samangan Province such as Old Balahisar, Khwaja Ismail Shrine, Rabatak Tomb, Qara Kamar Cave, Valley of Forty Girls, Genghis Takht, Sam Dalal, Panja Shah, Cave Tash and more.
Also, Mr. Azizi added that with the arrival of the Islamic Emirate, the number of domestic and foreign tourists have increased in this province and the income of this department has increased compared to previous years.
