Book Launch ceremony held for “Afghanistan’s Economic Renaissance”
The General Directorate of Public Libraries, under the Ministry of Information and Culture, hosted a launch event for “Afghanistan’s Economic Renaissance,” written by Abdul Wafi Nayebzai.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rafiullah Samim, Director of Public Libraries, said he was pleased that the Directorate continues to serve as a platform for academic engagement. He observed notable and encouraging improvements in both writing and reading practices.
While thanking the author, Dr. Samim also urged professors, university students, madrasa scholars, school students, and educated youth to share their knowledge through writing. He emphasized that such efforts are vital for fostering intellectual growth in the country and strengthening Afghanistan’s ability to stand alongside other nations. He also highlighted that public library halls remain open to all young people, with ongoing efforts to extend access into the evening hours for those interested in reading and studying.
Other speakers at the event praised Mr. Nayebzai for his work and shared their views on the importance of the book. They encouraged him to continue producing more books and scholarly articles to support the country’s economic development.
In his closing remarks, the author expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Public Libraries for organizing the event. He stated that writers dedicate their work to the benefit of others and that society has a rightful claim on everyone’s contributions. With this sense of responsibility, he said, he undertook writing the book, hoping it would have a second edition in the future.
It is worth noting that “Afghanistan’s Economic Renaissance” is Mr. Nayebzai’s twentieth publication. The book provides a detailed exploration of national, monetary, and international economics, as well as microeconomics, administration, management, and various economic analyses.
