Yesterday, Thursday, a monthly meeting was held in the courtyard of the Department of Information and Culture of Helmand Province, in which the officials of the Department of Information and Culture, dozens of poets, writers and cultural activists from the center Lashkargah and districts participated.
The Poetry Gathering started with the recitation of the blessed verses of the Holy Quran.
Later, on behalf of the Department of Information and Culture, Mr. Syed Muhammad Harayat welcomed the participants of the gathering, and also talked about the importance of holding such gathering and the good coordination between the Department of Information and Culture and the culturalists.
Mr. Muhammad Ismail Shariatyar, on behalf of the culturalists, thanked the Department of Information and Culture for taking this positive step during his speech.
After that, the series of Poetry began, each poet was called upon in turn, and the participants of the meeting listened to their prepared poems.
It is worth noting that the singing part in yesterday's gathering was also interesting, many singers sang their arranged hymns, “naats” and epic songs to the participants in their sweet voices.
In the end, the meeting ended with a prayer for eternal peace, security and prosperity in the beloved country.
