A Meeting Was Held in Herat to Resolve the Problems of Journalists

Today, Sunday (2023/8/20), Mr. Mohajer Farahi, Deputy Minister of Broadcasting of the Ministry of Information and Culture, and the Director of the Department of Information and Culture of Herat Province held a meeting to hear and solve the problems that journalists tend to face in Herat Province. 
In this meeting, there was a discussion on the distribution of journalists' cards, the problems of journalists and the media, the needs of the media, the quality and quantity of newspapers.
In the beginning, Moulvi Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, Deputy Minister of Broadcasting of the Ministry of Information and Culture, spoke and said; “The distribution of journalists' cards have started in the capital of the country and the process for distribution in the provinces will be started soon by the relevant agencies.”
Mr. Mohajer Farahi added that these cards have such characteristics that even an ordinary soldier can find out whether this person is a journalist or not. These cards are directly related to the website of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
The Journalists’ cards provide easier facilities for journalists in security agencies and journalists from all provinces can get them by a letter after completing administrative procedures.
Mr. Farahi also talked about the media laws and added that the media law has been prepared by the Ministry of Information and Culture and has been sent for approval, and it is currently under the review of the Supreme Leader.
Mr. Mohajer Farahi said regarding the limitations in access to information that journalists should be given access to information.
