Meeting of the Information and Public Awareness Committee for Migrants and Returnees Held Under the Chairmanship of the Minister of Information and Culture
On Sunday (30 Jumada al-Thani 1447 AH), a meeting of the Information and Public Awareness Committee for Migrants and Returnees was held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, Minister of Information and Culture. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Refugees, and Guidance, Hajj and Endowments, as well as the Media Center and security institutions.
During the meeting, alongside a review of the committee’s activities, members presented detailed information on the operations and services of active reception camps established across the country for migrants and returnees. According to the committee members, a reception camp has also been established in the capital, Kabul, where designated committees are providing services. In addition, a new database has been developed to ensure better organization, coordination, and archiving of activities.
His Excellency Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani emphasized the need to strengthen further coordination to effectively evaluate and enhance ongoing activities. He stated that public awareness initiatives should be used to encourage charitable organizations and institutions to assist migrants and returnees. He also stressed the importance of motivating the public and responsible individuals to provide the best possible services to migrant and returning compatriots.
The Minister added that, through the effective use of all available resources of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, sincere and committed efforts are being made to serve and support migrants and returnees.
