Media Should Be Utilised for Nation Intellectual Enrichment and Societal Reform
The Ministry of Information and Culture ongoing seminar aimed at enhancing the capacities of its central and provincial directors was attended by Mawlawi Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications; Qari Muhammad Younus Rashid, Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs; Mavlawi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance, and Administration; Qari Muhammad Yousuf Ahmadi, Director General of National Radio and Television; Mawlawi Zabihullah Noorani, Director General of Jihadi Values department; along with central and provincial directors.
In his opening remarks, Mavlawi Muhajir Farahi emphasized the critical role of media in shaping public opinion in today’s age. He stated:
“Media holds immense influence over society and must be utilized positively to promote intellectual enrichment and societal reform. Cooperation with media is essential, and efforts should be made to improve coordination for access to information and resolve their issues promptly.”
Following this, Qari Muhammad Younus Rashid highlighted the significance of youth, describing them as the country’s most valuable asset. He stated:
“Afghanistan is a nation where the majority of the population is comprised of youth. Special attention must be given to youth across all provinces. Inspire hope among them and nurture them with values, morals, and the character of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) so they may embody his ethics and behavior.”
Mr. Rashid further added:
“Youth must be trained to become leading advocates and dedicated warriors in the path of Islam.”
Several provincial directors then shared their concerns and challenges related to their respective departments. The officials assured them that solutions would be provided promptly.
