Iranian Ambassador Visits Afghanistan’s National Gallery
On Tuesday, 24th Shawwal 1446, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan, Mr. Ali Reza Bikdeli, visited the National Gallery of Afghanistan (Milli Negaristan). During his visit, he met with Maulvi Mohammad Lal Munib, Director of the Department of Fine Arts under the Deputy Ministry of Arts and Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture.
At the outset, Maulvi Munib warmly welcomed the ambassador and provided a comprehensive briefing on the department’s activities, achievements, and cultural initiatives. He emphasized the deep-seated cultural and artistic ties between Afghanistan and Iran, noting the importance of strengthening bilateral collaboration in the arts. He also proposed hosting joint exhibitions featuring works from artists of both nations.
In response, Ambassador Bikdeli spoke about the rich historical and cultural significance of art, expressing Iran’s eagerness to deepen cultural cooperation. He pledged to facilitate collaborative art exhibitions showcasing the talent and creativity of Afghan and Iranian artists.
Additionally, the ambassador expressed Iran's readiness to offer training opportunities for Afghan artists under the guidance of experienced Iranian art professionals, aiming to enhance artistic skills and cultural exchange.
After the meeting, Ambassador Bikdeli toured the gallery, where he viewed various artworks and received detailed explanations from curators and gallery officials.
