International Sports Journalists' Day was celebrated in Herat

On Tuesday, the 25th of Zul Hijjah 1445, Herat Province commemorated the 2nd of July, the International Day of Sports Journalists, by presenting awards and prizes to sports journalists at a series of ceremonies.
 
Farid Ahmad Ayubi, the director of information for Herat Province's Department of Information and Culture, emphasized the importance of sports journalism in his speech and stated that officials from the Department of Information and Culture are working to address the issues confronting the media and journalists.
 
Shamil Ahmad Mashal, a member of Herat's media monitoring and assistance committee, emphasized the importance of sports journalists' contributions to the province's athletic growth.
 
He stated that the Media Monitoring and Support Committee is working to conduct capacity-building seminars for journalists and improve access to sports information.
