Hundreds of Books Donated to Baghlan Public Library by the Ministry of Information and Culture
To promote the culture of reading and strengthen the resources of the public library in Baghlan, the Ministry of Information and Culture has donated 800 books to the province’s public library.
Officials of the Public Library, under the Provincial Directorate of Information and Culture, stated that these 800 books—covering 300 different titles—were delivered to the province by the Ministry of Information and Culture and will be distributed to the public libraries of Baghlan by the assigned committee.
The officials added that the donated books cover a wide range of literary, scientific, political, social, educational, and cultural subjects, and can play a significant role in raising public awareness and promoting the culture of reading among the residents of Baghlan Province.
At the same time, the Director of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Asadullah Mustafa Hashimi, expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Information and Culture and noted that in addition to the main public library in Pul-e-Khumri city, branches of public libraries are also active in the districts of Doshi, Khenjan, Dahan-e-Salaam, and Central Baghlan, where dozens of people visit daily for reading purposes.
