The Head of the Journalist Protection Committee in the Eastern Zone met with the Director of Information and Culture

Yesterday, during his visit to Laghman province, the Head of the Committee for the Protection of Afghan Journalists in the Eastern Zone, Yusuf Zarifi, met with the Director of Information and Culture of this province, Maulvi Abdul Noor Rasooli, in which, the head of the Committee for the Protection of Journalists in Laghman, Mirwais Samat, and a representative of Amr Bel-Maruf were also present.
According to Mr. Zarifi, the purpose of his visit to Laghman is to get information about the safety and activities of journalists.
Mr. Zarifi said; “The Department of Information and Culture, in coordination with other agencies, has provided good work opportunities for journalists from other provinces in addition to Laghman journalists.”
Later, Mr. Rasooli welcomed the Head and said; “Journalists are safe in Laghman and we are trying to make them more safe so that they can do good activities.”
Mr. Rasoli also asked the head of the committee to provide short-term training programs for journalists in this province.
