On Tuesday, 1 Sha‘ban 1447 AH, 126 participants received graduation certificates from the Youth Empowerment Center of the Deputy Ministry of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, following the successful completion of a three-month training program in graphic design, website development, and freelancing.

The program has been implemented by the Deputy Ministry of Youth Affairs with the support of partner organizations, including War Child Canada and UNFPA, at the central level and across several zones. To date, thousands of young people have graduated from these initiatives and are actively engaged in the online freelancing market, collectively generating hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars in income.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Mawlawi Syed Muhammad Saeed, Acting Deputy Minister for Youth Affairs; Hazratullah Sharifi, Director of Youth Program Coordination; officials of the Youth Empowerment Center; program graduates; journalists; and representatives of various media outlets.

At the opening of the ceremony, Nematullah Enayat, Head of the Youth Empowerment Center, stated that the Center was established in 2022 and has since graduated thousands of young people. He added that, this year alone, 126 young participants completed various programs, and that registration for the 2026 training programs has already begun. He encouraged interested youth to enroll and take advantage of these opportunities.

Subsequently, Hazratullah Sharifi, Director of Youth Program Coordination, emphasized that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has developed and implemented various initiatives aimed at enhancing the capacities and skills of youth. He provided detailed information about the Center’s educational programs and encouraged graduates to share their experiences and knowledge with others.

The graduates of the program expressed their appreciation to the Ministry of Information and Culture for organizing such capacity-building initiatives and called for the expansion of these programs at both the central and provincial levels.

It is worth noting that the ceremony concluded with the formal distribution of graduation certificates to the successful participants.
