The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance, and Administrative Affairs met with members of the International Educational Organization (PTS)
On Saturday, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance, and Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mawalvi Qudratullah Jamal, met with Philip, the vice president of scientific programs of PTS, Noha, and Caleb, the teachers of the organization, in his office to discuss the initiation of skills and capacity-building training for employees of the Ministry in the tourism and hotel management sectors.
As per the agreement with the International Educational Organization (PTS), the organization's teachers will commence a three-week training period for the employees of the Ministry of Information and Culture's Tourism and Hospitality Department.
Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance, and Administrative Affairs, welcomed the guests during the visit and expressed gratitude to the International Education Organization (PTS) for implementing the educational program for the Ministry's employees. He emphasized the significance of education in tourism and hotel management for the Afghan people and expressed the Ministry's desire to expand the tourism institute to enhance facilities for tourists.
Mr. Jamal also highlighted the establishment of security throughout the country under the rule of the Islamic Emirate and invited members of the International Educational Organization (PTS) to visit historical and recreational places in Afghanistan to gain experience, emphasizing the availability of suitable recreational and historical sites for foreign tourists.
Philip, the Vice President of Scientific Programs of the International Educational Organization (PTS), expressed that this was the first time they were collaborating with the Ministry of Information and Culture in the field of education in an experimental form. He assured that they would consider the Ministry's ideas and suggestions to provide better services in the future and invite the Ministry employees to foreign countries for theoretical education and knowledge related to tourism and hotel management.
Philip also mentioned that their visit was not only for teaching but also for learning from the hospitality, good behavior, and cooperation of Afghans, which they would remember while teaching in other countries. He pledged to document their experiences and memories from Afghanistan and share them with the Ministry of Information and Culture upon their return.
