Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance, and administrative affairs Meets with Tribal Elders of Paktia
The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance, and Administration of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, held a meeting in his office with tribal elders from Paktia to discuss the organization and development of tourist sites, the creation of employment opportunities for youth in the tourism sector, issues and proposals.
During the meeting, the tribal elders of Paktia highlighted the challenges faced by local communities regarding tourist sites, forests and suggestions. They emphasized that the people of Paktia are fully committed to cooperating with the Ministry of Information and Culture to strengthen the tourism sector.
The Deputy Minister stressed the importance of developing the tourism sector and stated that it plays a vital role in the country’s economic growth, a significant part of which is formed by the nation’s forests. He noted that forests across the country will be extensively utilized in the development of the tourism sector and that this sector can be strengthened through the cooperation of the people.
Mr. Jamal also assured that efforts will be made to address the public concerns of Paktia and to follow up on the proposed recommendations. He added that the Deputy Ministry for Tourism, Finance, and administrative affairs is working to attract more domestic and foreign tourists to the tourist destinations of Paktia.
