Deputy Minister for Tourism, finance and Administrative Affairs Meets with Officials of Tourism and Pilgrimage Companies in Nangarhar
The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Financial and Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, met with officials of tourism and pilgrimage companies during his visit to Nangarhar Province. During the meeting, he listened to their concerns and proposals.
Mr. Jamal emphasized that all stakeholders must work collectively to promote and strengthen the tourism sector, as it constitutes an important component of the national economy. He assured the representatives of the tourism and pilgrimage companies that their challenges would be addressed and that the necessary facilities and support would be provided to enhance and develop the sector.
Meanwhile, officials of the Nangarhar Department of Information and Culture stated that efforts are underway to further raise awareness of the province’s cultural, historical, and tourism assets. They noted that the activities of tourism and pilgrimage companies not only contribute to economic growth but also play a significant role in promoting a positive image of the country.
According to the officials, approximately 280 tourism and pilgrimage companies currently hold valid legal licenses in Nangarhar Province, and the licensing process remains ongoing.
During the meeting, representatives of the tourism and pilgrimage companies acknowledged that the Department of Information and Culture has consistently cooperated in resolving their issues. In addition to sharing proposals to strengthen the tourism sector, they requested further assistance to address existing challenges. The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Financial and Administrative Affairs assured them that their proposals would be carefully considered and that efforts would be made to resolve the identified issues.
