Deputy Minister of Art and Culture held a meeting with the Scientific Board for the Rescue of Emergency Areas and Monuments

Yesterday, Moulavi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Art and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture, who met the representatives of Kabul Municipality and Kabul University, Dr. Irwin Joseph, member of the Scientific Board of the Aga Khan International Organization for Emergency Areas and Historical Relics, German antiquities restoration specialist Emmerling, Italian cultural relics specialist Bandarin Francesco, Chinese Fudan University professor and Central Asian cultural heritage specialist Mrs. Wujin and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa National Museums and Archeology Director Dr. Abdul Samad. A meeting was held at the Haram Sarai of Babur Garden in Kabul regarding the rescue of emergency areas and relics.
In the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Art and Culture presented information about the historical areas and settlements of Afghanistan and thanked the ongoing work of Mes Aynak and other areas with the help of the Aga Khan Organization and added that with the arrival of the Islamic Emirate Efforts have been made to protect and prevent encroachment of all historical areas and historic sites of Afghanistan.
  He also said that there is a difference between culture and politics, that Afghanistan is the roof of historical monuments in the world, foreign countries and organizations should cooperate in the protection and restoration of Afghanistan's historical sites and areas.
The scientific board of Aga Khan International Organization for the Protection of Emergency Areas and Antiquities, which has visited Mes Aynak, Kabul Balahisar and Mashin Khana so far, in the field of protection of the historical sites of Mes Aynak, historical areas and relics of the country gave necessary advices and assured cooperation.
