The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye Visits the National Museum of Afghanistan
The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Afghanistan, Cengiz Önal, along with a delegation, visited the National Museum of Afghanistan.
The Director of the National Museum, Mawlawi Sabghatullah Abid, welcomed the delegation and described the museum as the country’s main historical and cultural center. He highlighted the important and valuable role of the museum in preserving and safeguarding thousands of significant artifacts.
The Turkish Ambassador thanked the Director and staff of the National Museum for their warm reception and said: “Museums play a vital role worldwide in strengthening cultural ties, expanding knowledge, and boosting cultural confidence. Museums are effective platforms for international engagement and cooperation. Visiting the National Museum of Afghanistan is a great pleasure for us.”
The Ambassador and his delegation explored the historical and cultural artifacts and various exhibits of the museum, where guides provided information about the collections.
At the end of the visit, Mr. Cengiz Önal signed his name in the museum’s guestbook, and the Director of the National Museum presented him with a catalog of Afghanistan’s historical and cultural artifacts as a gift.
