On Thursday (22th of February, 2024), Acting Minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwah met with a number of deaf people in his office.

At the beginning, one of the representatives of the deaf spoke about the problems faced by them in the society and the lack of job opportunities in the government agencies. He also shared information about his work skills and professional education. He requested support from the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture.

In his speech, Mr. Khairkhwah, in addition to expressing his support for them, promised to provide them with work opportunities, so that their skills can be used in the media for religious and news broadcast and making interviews for deaf children, youth and women. 

Mr. Khairkhwah added; As active members of the society, deaf people have ability, skill and professional ability, they are trying to provide job opportunities for the deaf in various fields of the Ministry of Information and Culture, according to him; The deaf should not be considered dependent on the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, but the skills, expertise and professional ability of deaf people should be used in the society.
