An Art exhibition and Competition was held in Bamyan Province

On Wednesday (24th of January, 2024), an exhibition and competition of artistic works of the artists of the said province was held by the Department of Information and Culture of Bamiyan province.
The art exhibition and competition was attended by the governor of Bamiyan, Maulvi Abdullah Sarhadi, officials of the Department of Information and Culture, representatives of government agencies, artists and media representatives, in which paintings, calligraphy, engraving, network work, and minature by various artists and Islamic decorative artworks were exhibited.
Governor of Bamiyan Province Maulvi Abdullah Sarhadi said: “The leadership of the province supports the development of works of art and artists. Artists and painters have an important role in spreading Islamic culture and unity among people in the society.”
Maulvi Safiullah Raed, Director of Information and Culture said about the exhibition and competition: “42 artists had registered their works of art in this exhibition, and each artist had the right to submit one work to the competition.”
He added; “In today's exhibition, in addition to the 42 works nominated for the competition, 28 other works were also displayed, with a total of 70 works of art. More such exhibitions will be held in the future as well.”
According to Mr. Raed; Prizes were given to 25 artists with the best works of the competition, 4500 Afghanis to the first place winner, 3500 Afghanis to the second place winner and 2500 Afghanis to the third place winner.
