The Members of the Supreme Council of Languages held their first meeting

The Members of the High Council of Languages held their first meeting under the leadership of Moulvi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Art and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
In this meeting, Moulvi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Art and Culture, said; “I am happy that today I have a meeting with important teachers, writers and linguists. Language has been given to man by Allah as a great gift, the color of language is also a great blessing of the great Lord.” Mr. Azizi added that the purpose and goal of the Supreme Council of Languages is not to consider one language better than another, but through this we will work together for the languages of the country and this is the responsibility of the Islamic Emirate in order provide work and service to the languages of all tribes in the country. According to Mr. Azizi, currently 30 dialects are spoken in the country, we will make efforts for the enrichment, education and literary development of these dialects.
The High Council of Languages, headed by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Art of the Ministry of Information and Culture,Based on the order of Minister Council of I.E.A., the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, the Afghanistan Academy of Sciences, the Department of People's Culture was established with the participation of linguistic staff and freelance writers and linguists, with the aim of promoting the national and official languages of Afghanistan, as well as work towards the betterment of the country's minority languages.
The participants of the meeting considered the creation of the council as a good step and promised to cooperate. Besides, they emphasized that we should first create a plan and procedure for the council, so that we can move forward based on the same procedure.
