Traditional Anab Gul Poetry Gathering Held in Farah

The traditional Anab Gul poetry gathering was held in Farah province, the gathering was attended by Mawlawi Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture; Mullah Mohammad Hafiz Mujahid, Governor of Farah; Mawlawi Amanullah Mustaghfir, Head of the Ministry’s Directorate of for Hymns and Nasheeds local officials; poets from several provinces; Naat reciters; journalists; and enthusiasts of poetry and literature.
Mohammad Abdul Hai Sabawoon, Director of Information and Culture in Farah, described poetry gatherings as an important and effective means of communicating messages. He noted that the event had been organised by the Directorate of Hymns and Nasheeds
 in line with the Department of Information and Culture’s work plan, in cooperation with the Governor’s Office and the Municipality.
Speaking at the gathering, Deputy Minister Muhajir Farahi highlighted the value of Anab  and their uses, referring to the fruit in connection with the event’s name. He also encouraged young people to take a greater interest in poetry, literature and cultural activities.
A number of poets and Naat reciters presented their work during the gathering. They described such literary events as valuable opportunities to convey messages and develop poets’ skills, and called for similar programmes to be held in the future.
