The Baghlan Directorate of Information and Culture hosted a media coordination session on implementing the 17th Decree of the Esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him).
The Baghlan Directorate of Information and Culture, in partnership with the Department for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, held a formal meeting with local media representatives and journalists to promote effective implementation of the 17th decree issued by the Esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him).
The purpose of the meeting was to involve the media in raising public awareness about the decree’s provisions, which focus on eliminating harmful and culturally inappropriate practices during weddings, family gatherings, funerals, and ceremonies after Hajj and Umrah.
Mawlawi Asadullah Mustafa Hashimi, Director of Information and Culture in Baghlan, highlighted the crucial role of the media in communicating this important decree to the public. He pointed out that expanding media coverage and educational programs are vital for ensuring their broad understanding and adoption across communities.
He described the decree as an essential step toward enhancing the moral, social, and spiritual well-being of society and urged media leaders to give priority to its content in their broadcasting and outreach efforts.
Representing the local press, Mr. Abdul Wahid Wahdat and Mr. Haris Sayyar expressed full support for the initiative. They reaffirmed their commitment to helping spread awareness of the decree and pledged their active cooperation in addressing harmful traditions through responsible journalism and community-based programming.
The session ended with a shared understanding of the media’s key role in promoting national values and Islamic principles through public education and coordinated efforts
