The Ministry of Information and Culture  Department of Archaeology transferred 156 historical artifacts to the National Museum of Afghanistan following the restoration, cleaning, registration, and documentation processes conducted by the Department of Archaeology at its central laboratory.

The collection includes inscriptions (epigraphic tablets), vessels, various types of lamps, and other cultural objects crafted from clay, stone, metal, and shell. These artifacts were professionally conserved and documented in accordance with established technical and museological standards to ensure their long-term preservation.

According to the Head of the Department of Archaeology, Sayed Zabiullah Sadat, the artifacts date from the 2nd to the 5th centuries CE. They were discovered during systematic archaeological excavations conducted by the Ministry’s specialized technical teams at several historical sites across the country.

In addition, a stone board voluntarily handed over to the Ministry by a culturally conscious young resident of Logar Province has also been included in this transfer. After its restoration and documentation were completed, the artifact was formally delivered to the National Museum for public exhibition.
