An educational and research seminar on the academic and social personality of Imam Qutiba was held in Baghlan
The Ministry of Information and Culture, the Department of People's Culture, related to the Deputy Ministry of Art and Culture and the Department of Information and Culture of Baghlan Province, organized a scientific study seminar focused on the academic and social personality of Imam Qutiba. This research seminar took place in the conference hall of Baghlan Province and was attended by key figures including Mavlawi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Art and Culture, Mavlawi Abdul Rahman Haqqani, the Governor of Baghlan, as well as officials and locals.
Mavlawi Asadullah Mustafa Hashemi, the Head of Information and Culture in Baghlan, noted that participants wrote articles on 15 different topics related to the academic and social personality of Imam Qutiba. From these submissions, the ten best articles were selected, and cash prizes were awarded to the authors.
Deputy Minister Atiqullah Azizi emphasized that while there are many well-known Afghans like Imam Qutiba Baghlani, not enough people are thoroughly informed about his contributions to society, science, culture, and research. He mentioned that the Ministry of Information and Culture is making efforts to address this gap by organizing scientific and research seminars across various provinces to highlight important figures.
Mr. Azizi also stated that the achievements, sacrifices, and cultural contributions of the Afghan people must be recorded and preserved by writers and historians.
Residents of Baghlan expressed their hope that the government will take action to restore the shrine of Imam Qutiba Baghlani, establish a library in the shrine's courtyard, and construct a road leading to the shrine.
