The Minister of Information and Culture met with Norway's Chargé d'Affaires, Albert ilSaas

On Thursday, February 13, 2025 (14th of Sha'ban 1446), the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaj Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, met with Norway's Chargé d'Affaires, Albert Islaas, in his office.
During their meeting, they discussed the bilateral relationship between Afghanistan and Norway, along with various cultural issues. Minister Khairkhwa emphasized Afghanistan's rich heritage, highlighting that the country is home to thousands of ancient sites, historical landmarks, and cultural legacies. He pointed out that these treasures are not only significant to the Afghan people but also form an essential part of global cultural heritage, many of which require urgent preservation and restoration.
Minister Khairkhwa asserted that the protection of cultural heritage is a shared responsibility that transcends national borders; it is a global obligation that necessitates international cooperation with Afghanistan.
In response, Chargé d'Affaires Albert Islaas underscored the importance of safeguarding Afghanistan's cultural heritage. He expressed his commitment to coordinating with relevant institutions and organizations to support this effort and emphasized the significance of ongoing collaboration between Norway and Afghanistan in various fields.
