A Visit was made to the Public Library of Kishm district of Badakhshan Province

Officials of the Department of Information and Culture of Badakhshan province visited the Public Library of Kashm district in order to promote reading and access to libraries for young people.
Manager of Culture and Art Mohammad Arif Farooqui said: “During a trip, the research team of the Department of Information and Culture visited the Public Library of Kishm district and found out that the lack of a suitable place for the said library was the reason that young people stopped reading books for their pleasure.”
According to him, the said team had a meeting with Qari Muhammad Asif Zafaryar, District Governor of Kishm district, about the said problem, and the district governor promised to find a suitable place.

Mohammad Osman Ebrahimi, the General Manager of Public Libraries in Badakhshan province, says: “In the past few months, we have organized several book reading programs in order to strengthen the study tradition among the youth in the center and districts. The generation is becoming more and more interested in reading and their participation in libraries has increased.”
