He added; “This year, in the past ten months, more than eighteen hundred young people came to read at the Public Library of the Department of Information and Culture, which shows that young people are very interested in studying. The Department of Culture also organizes mushairas between the youth, poets, writers and cultural figures in the hall of the public library and along with these programs, the youth read, which increases their interest in reading.”
It is worth mentioning that there are three public libraries related to the Department of Information and Culture in Kunduz province, one library which is in the center of Kunduz and two other libraries in the districts of Khanabad and Imam Sahib, in which around 16000 various books are available.
