15 Ancient Sites have been Identified in Jawzjan Province

During an official visit to Jawzjan province, a professional delegation of the Department of Archeology surveyed the ancient areas of the said province, as a result of which 15 ancient areas were identified in Shabarghan city, Faizabad and Khawaja du Koh districts.
Mr. Zabihullah Sadat, Director of the Department of Archaeology, says: “During the survey and research, eight pieces of ancient artifacts were discovered, which included clay pots, beads and a coin. After the initial research, it was found out that the mentioned artifacts have an ancient history from the second to the thirteenth century AD. The registration was done and later submitted to the Information and Culture Department of the said province.”
Also, in the presence of the officials of the Department of Information and Culture of Jawzjan province, the delegation informed the military and civil officials of the province about the value of catalog heritage and the decree of Amirul Momineen.
