The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaj Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah, visited Herat province and handed over dialysis machines donated by the United Arab Emirates to Herat Regional Hospital. During the delivery of the machines, he expressed happiness for the construction of houses by the United Arab Emirates for flood victims in Baghlan and earthquake victims in Herat and Ghor provinces and thanked the country for its support. Mr. Khairkhah mentioned that efforts are being made to implement UAE and other projects in the country.
The governor of Herat province, Sheikh Al-Hadith Maulana Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, expressed gratitude for the UAE's assistance and stated that the installation of dialysis machines will create many facilities for patients at the regional hospital.
Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Hanafi, Deputy Director of Public Health in Herat, mentioned that the shortage of dialysis machines had caused many problems and that the installation of these machines would solve these issues. Previously, 500 patients would benefit from dialysis machines daily, but now that number will increase to 800 people.
