The construction of the second phase of the Afghan Steel Iron Milling Plant, costing 30 million dollars, has commenced

On Friday (24 Rabi Al-Awal 1446), Minister of Information and Culture Alhaj Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah, Minister of Industry and Commerce Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, Governor of Herat Sheikh Hadith Maulana Noor Ahmad Islamjar, and businessmen attended the opening ceremony of the second phase of a project valued at 30 million dollars.
Hayatullah Nazari, the head of the Afghan Steel Iron Milling Factory, stated that the first phase of the factory was completed some time ago at a cost of 20 million dollars. Currently, 500 people are employed there, and the factory produces 300 tons of international-quality steel every day. After the completion of the second phase, which will cost 30 million dollars, an additional 1,000 people will be employed.
During the meeting, Minister of Information and Culture Alhaj Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah mentioned that the construction of industrial factories in Herat would encourage investment in the private sector throughout the country. He also emphasized that the economic challenges in the country are gradually decreasing, and urged the nation and the state to work together to address all issues. Additionally, he stated that the Islamic Emirate would prohibit the import of goods that are produced within the country.
The Minister of Industry and Trade, the Governor of Herat, and other participants also delivered speeches at the meeting.
