Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture: Media Should Increase Efforts to Promote Domestic Products

On Thursday, February 27, 2025 (28 Sha'ban 1446), following the directive of the Administrative Deputy Office of the Prime Minister, a delegation led by Mullah Faizullah Tamim, the Director General of the National Standards Authority, along with Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, representatives from the Ministry of Public Health’s Food and Drug Authority, and officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, conducted an inspection of several food and pharmaceutical factories in Kabul to evaluate their quality assurance measures.
During the inspection, Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi emphasized the critical role of standardized production in driving economic growth and ensuring public health. He highlighted the necessity of strict adherence to established quality standards, noting that Afghanistan’s ongoing progress across various industries is a positive sign.
He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local investors, indicating that continuous efforts are being made to facilitate the growth and expansion of domestic industries. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of increasing public awareness about the benefits of locally produced goods and called for stronger marketing efforts through media channels.
He urged media organizations to actively promote Afghan-made products, assuring that the Ministry of Information and Culture stands ready to support this initiative.
