The Signage and Advertising Reform Commission conducted monitoring in the second, fourth, and tenth districts of Kabul City.
The Signage and Advertising Reform Commission monitored signboards in the second, fourth, and tenth districts of Kabul City to identify address-related information.
At the outset of this monitoring and reform process, discussions were held with the media and representatives of trade guilds regarding the significance of these areas and the procedures for reform and oversight of signboards and advertising materials.
In addition, for non-standard signboards and advertising materials, the Commission’s professional members proposed alternative versions in the country’s national languages, and corrective recommendations were also provided for some of them.
Furthermore, many of the signboards installed by Kabul Municipality have been adjusted in accordance with the standards set out in the Commission’s procedures, while those signboards that still have deficiencies will be discussed and decided upon at the Commission’s forthcoming meeting.
It is worth noting that during this field program, more than twenty-five (25) signboards installed by Kabul Municipality were inspected.
