Aid Delivery Starts to Earthquake Victims of Southern Provinces: Mujahid

The national and international humanitarian organizations rapidly started aid delivery for the victims of a recent powerful earthquake in southern Khost, Paktika, and some other provinces said Zabihullah Mujahid. 

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said on his Twitter handle, that a series of Pakistan aid cargoes loaded in 8 trucks had been delivered to the affected localities where the incident hit, adding that another two cargoes plane first aids supply from Iran and one from Qatar arrived Kabul that soon will be delivered for the victims of the incident.

Meanwhile, the Turkish Red Crescent Society declared to start soon providing humanitarian assistance for the victims of the recent tragic earthquake in Khost and Paktika provinces.

Tuesday night a powerful earthquake estimated at 6.1 magnitudes hit Khost, Paktika, and some other southern provinces of the country, which killed a 1,000 injured many, and destroyed several houses, and same to the incident a number of countries sharing sympathy announced provide immediate humanitarian assistance for the victims’ families.

The United States, China, Germany, and some other countries in the region and the world have vowed to start the process of facilitating humanitarian assistance to the earthquake victims in Afghanistan soon.

At the same time, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan allocated 100 million Afghans in an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday to assist the victims of Khost and Paktika provinces.

The Islamic Emirate has called on the world’s national and international aid organizations to reach aiding victims of this tragic incident in Khost and Paktika provinces.
