Seminar Titled ‘Silk Road & Afghanistan’ Held In Nangarhar

Seminar titled ‘Silk road and Afghanistan’ was held by ministry of information and culture in Nangarhar. 
In the second part of seminar attended by researchers, writers, cultural figures, historians, universities’ lecturers and a number of local officials acting minister of information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari by pointing to role of Silk road in the course of history and trade and relations between regional countries and the world said renovation of the road would have key role in increasing of trade economic development and world-regional convergence.
“As Nangarhar was part of Silk road in the course of history, ministry of information and culture held the second part of the seminar in the historic province of Nangarhar,” Bawari added.  In the seminar, governor of Nangarhar Gulab Mangal considered the road as valuable for regional countries.
In other part of the seminar, researchers read their researched-articles written in connection with Silk Road and role of Afghanistan on it.
In another part of the seminar, poet read their poems about the road.  Resolution of the seminar was read out by provincial chief of information and culture Awrang Mukhtar.  The resolution stressed on publication of articles read in the seminar as well as holding such seminars in other parts of the country.  It is worth mentioning that renovation of Silk Road, which is one of the historic roads in the region, will put positive economic and convergence impacts among regional countries including Afghanistan.
