Afghanistan Real Image Can Be Shown to World Through Art, Safi

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi has reopened High Art Council after long break.
In a session held Wednesday on this occasion with participation of deputy minister of culture and art for information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawary, a number of the ministry’s officials, advisor to Tajikistan embassy to Kabul and a number of art and cultural figures, acting minister of information and culture considered reopening of High Art Council as key and declared the ministry’ support from the council.
Safi asserted that the council should be financially and spiritually self-sufficient and should make effort towards providing learning and development facility to youths both boys and girls.
“Through art we can show the real image of Afghanistan to the world and the country’s art figures can reflect problems of society by art and deliver messages of peace and reconciliation to the people,” Safi added.
Meanwhile, media advisor and spokesperson to MoIC Mohammad Sabir Momand asserted that the respective council was created 10 years ago, but stopped its operation five years ago and now the council was reopened.
He added that the country with its seven committees from seven art has 41 members including leading body and members of the council.
