“Discrimination, Unacceptable, You Have My Full Support,” Minister Safi Tells Youth

Kabul (BNA) Addressing young directors of the ministry of information and culture’s provincial departments, Acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi said that you had my full support, BNA reported on Sunday.
According to the agency, in a meeting held at the ministry’s press international hall and attended by young directors, Acting Minister Safi added that I see the future at you and I would support you through my personal and officials authorities.
She added I understand your problem and would step up to address that.
Pointing at the government’s strategy for youth, she said that such an attention has never been paid heed to women and youth in the course of history as it has been done today. BNA went on to say.
Stressing on creating coordination among the youth, she asked participants to do their duty based on authority, try to recognize problems and challenges and find solutions for them.
She asked the deputy minister of information and culture on youth affairs to establish a supervision committee to oversee young directors’ works.
Likewise, she added that considering transparency, travels and scholarships will be provided to youth in the provinces’ centers and districts.
Furthermore, she stressed that youth representatives should attend national and international seminars being held by the ministry of information and culture.
Afterwards, deputy minister of information and culture on youth affairs Mohammad Ajaml Shahpour said that youth consist the main part of a country and serious attention should be paid to their demands.
He pointed out at problems and said that these have caused to hinder the youth from improvement.
He added there are lots of opportunities for youth that should be availed.
He said that youth national policy should be used to change the youth, adding works should e done on some plans in this regard.
Representing others, young directors of the ministry’s provincial departments in Takhar and Kandahar spoke and shared their problems and suggestions with the acting minister of information and culture.
