Second Youth High Council Meeting Held In Kabul

The meeting started with a speech of President Karzai at the Radio TV hall yesterday. In today’s meeting initially Temur Shah Ishaqzai deputy minister for youth affairs of Information ad Culture called the role and partaking of the youth in development of the country as very outstanding. He noted that his office is trying to facilitate better grounds for youth’s education, and their living standards. Presidential Advisor Mohammad Masoum Stanikzai and head of the secretariat of High Peace Council informed the participants on the duties of the High Peace Council and the role of youth in ensuring peace. He noted that Afghanistan is a young nation in this region, and fortunately Afghanistan has the highest number of youth and without the youth we cannot attain peace lasting and development. Only the high peace council cannot resolve the problems, while the religious ulema, elders and influential in Afghanistan have great role in bringing about of peace. Safia Sediqi spokesperson of the High Peace Council informed the participants about holding of the traditional loya jirgah and called the role of youth as very important in this direction. Representatives from the ministries of defense, interior, agriculture and irrigation, counter-narcotics also talked about their working programs in creation of jobs and other facilities for the youth. The speakers also answered the questions of the youth as well.
